When major natural disasters occur, coordinating the various emergency response services is an arduous task. Firefighters, Civil Protection, Red Cross Units, Army, EDF (Electricity Utility), RTE (Electricity Transmission Network) and the Telephone Providers have often their communications cut off in such situations. To remedy this, RMS Electronic have developed a solution that will ensure communication between rescue services in the event of a GSM network failure : OSCAR. The technical specifications on the following documentation relates to the FIRAD equipment for ERDF (French Electricity Distribution Network).
